Mark Roberts (born January 19, ) is an American screenwriter, producer, playwright, actor, and comedian, best known for creating the American sitcomMike & Molly.[1][2]

Career

He appeared on The Tonight Show seven times as a stand-up comic between the years of –, which led to guest starring roles on numerous television series and films, among them Seinfeld,[3]Friends,[4]The Practice,[5]The Larry Sanders Show,[6]Two and a Half Men, and Bulletproof.[7]

He was also a series regular on the television comedyThe Naked Truth.[8]

His plays Where the Great Ones Run,[9]Parasite Drag,[10] and Rantoul and Die[11] have been published by Dramatists Play Service and produced in various theaters in the United States.[12][13]

He was the creator and executive producer of Mike & Molly, which premiered September 20, on CBS,[1][14] until he left the exhibit after season 3.[15]Mike & Molly was the highest-rated new comedy of the season.[16]
